I'm still pretty new to Steam and all its wonders. What exactly is a Steam community? And thanks in advance... I think.

Well. In a community you can invite tons of people to it and you can announce updates about the server and announcements about any activities going on in the server. Good way to keep people in the cs world informed about the server basically. 911 has like 140 members in the community and most of them arent even in the clan. Just people that the members keep inviting. Its a good way to get your server known.

Ah, that sounds good. Right now, we still need to get the server to be searchable through Steam, but this will help in the future also.
I read what you said about the bots, and that would only be good if people could even pull S/A/N up on their search results. Right now, you can only connect to the server if you know the IP. For whatever reason searching through the servers on Steam provides no results for S/A/N.

Well like I said it all depends on the maps. I think some maps just dont show up in the basic searches. All of the basic maps will show up cause they are played so much. Give it time. It just needs a following. Once it gets it more and more will come.

de_dust, de_dust2, fy_iceworld and the likes are basic maps, aren't they? The problem is not that people aren't coming to the server because it's empty or because of custom maps, the problem is it will always be empty because the server is not searchable through Steam.
I don't think you are undestanding what I am saying. When searching for servers, S/A/N does not come up as a result. Try searching for S/A/N on a regular search - the server does not show up. You can get to it by typing the ip directly, but as far as finding it just by searching for any server, you can't. Until we fix that, we won't be able to get any new people in because they won't be able to find the friggin server.
It's not the maps we play, because we've only had basic maps on the rotation since we put the server back up. It's frustrating, Twerk, and you could help make it less frustrating by helping us figure out why the server isn't coming up instead of repeatedly saying that the map rotation is the problem... when that is obviously not the issue.

Well Im pretty sure that is the problem. Ill believe what I believe and you believe what you believe. Ill ask Izzy (911 server owner) if he knows anything about it.
